You’ll leave Costa Rica with the SMARTA IPP workbook in hand—a structured, fully documented version of the SMARTA IPP framework—along with a deep understanding of the clinical thinking behind it. Rather than handing you a one-size-fits-all plan, this experience focuses on teaching you why each component exists and how to customize the IPP to match your clinical preferences, patient populations, and treatment philosophies.

Dr. Sam Lee and Dr. Marta Baird will provide guided instruction and real-time discussion. As part of the program, participants will engage with insights from the Align CAD team and IPP coding specialists to better understand staging strategies, refine decision points, and apply the IPP confidently across a wide range of cases. The goal is clarity, control, and a system you truly own.

Early Bird Pricing: $3995 (full price $4599 after June 1st, 2026).

Registration includes hotel accommodations for Thursday and Friday nights, daily breakfast, hosted dinners on Thursday and Friday, and lunch during the Friday program. Optional stay extensions, Saturday excursions, and guest participation are available for an additional fee.

Due to the advanced nature of this immersion, participants must complete the SMARTA Online Course prior to attending.

Program Overview & Logistics

Thursday, September 24 — Welcome Dinner (Hotel)
Kick off the experience with an intimate welcome dinner alongside your cohort. The hotel is located just 400 meters from Align Technology Headquarters in Costa Rica.

Friday, September 25 — Full Immersion Day (Align Technology Headquarters)
A full-day SMARTA IPP immersion focused on clinical foundations, hands-on customization, guided scripting, and collaborative planning. You’ll work directly with the Align CAD team and IPP coding specialists to review staging, refine decision points, and deepen your understanding of how the IPP functions across cases. Dedicated time is built in to apply concepts to your own clinical preferences.

Meals from Thursday evening through Friday evening are included. Shuttle transportation between the hotel and Align Headquarters will be provided.

Friday Evening — Off-Site Closing Dinner
Celebrate the experience, connect with colleagues, and enjoy Costa Rica’s hospitality in a relaxed, off-site setting.

Optional Saturday Extension — Group Excursion (TBD)
An optional, informal day to explore Costa Rica with the cohort. Excursion pricing is not included.
